Video Memories are done through my business

I use 3 Cameras and 2 Radio Lapel Microphones and edit the video for internet delivery and if later requested for authoring to DVD.
Two cameras are set on tripods in fixed positions, while I use the third camera to capture special moments. One lapel microphone is used by Leith and usually is sufficicient to pick up the bride and groom making their vows. The other is used on the microphone stand to caputre family or guests doing a reading.
However the placement of of the cameras is dependent on the space, which is often very restricted particularly in some of the small chapels.
Backlight, where the source of light is behind the bride and groom, often causes problems with exposure. This situation is most likely to occur when the couple stand in front of a window or under a covered roof.
Because I take other video work my availability is not always guaranteed, unless pre-booked.
If on your wedding day I don't have a prior commitment and you have agreed to a Video Memory I will accompany Leith.
Depending on my work load, the Video Memory will be published to the internet within two weeks. However priority is given to those weddings that have formally advised of their intention to purchase the full DVD.

What is a Video Memory?
When I started as a Marriage Celebrant, my wife Kathy took a video of the weddings and other ceremonies I celebrated. I used the videos as a professional development tool and an opportunity to review each ceremony. However it seemed such a shame not to share this footage with the Bride and Groom so we decided to send each couple a 2 - 3 minute movie clip as a Video Memory of their special day, via email as a private internet link. This has proved to be very popular as it allows the newlyweds to send the link to family and friends especially those who were unable to attend the ceremony.

However, please note that unfortunately I cannot guarantee that I can provide this webmovie for each ceremony as, although I will do my best, circumstance such as Kathy's availability, venue suitability, adverse weather conditions or other unexpected circumstances may intervene and make it impossible.
The Video Memory is a GIFT to you and because I can't guarantee this service it is NOT part of my Schedule of Fees. It will be hosted on the net for one month free of charge.
How is the video used?
Primarily I use the video to personally review each ceremony, however if you agree to the video being taken I may from time to time, use either all or part of the video footage as marketing material.
Can we purchase the full movie?
Many couples ask, after seeing their "Video Memory", if they can purchase the full video. The answer is yes, but as this is a separate service all negotiations for the purchase must be made directly with the Kathy, through her businessiness Video Your Celebrations. There is no obligation or expectation on my or Kathy's part that you purchase the full video.
At the time you receive the internet link to your “Video Memory” Kathy will advise of the purchase cost of the full movie and an indication of its length. After that there is no direct communication between you and Kathy unless it is initiated by you. I understand Kathy holds the unedited footage for 1 month, after the Video Memory has been published to the internet, giving you time to consider the purchase.
Can we book the videographer for the full movie?
If at anytime during your preparations for your wedding you think you would like to purchase the full video I suggest that you contact Kathy so that your wedding date is scheduled as a firm booking.
How much does it cost?
Because I use the video for professional development and to show new couples the various ceremony types, rituals and readings etc. Kathy offers the DVD at a substantially reduced rate. As a guide the purchase cost of the video is - Early Bookings FROM $350.00 or purchased after the wedding FROM $550.
Can we say no to the video?
Most certainly, just advise me at the time of booking your wedding .
We've Engaged Another Videographer !
When another Videographer has been engaged Kathy will generally use only one camera rather than three, especially where space is an issue. Kathy will work co-operatively and discreetly with your videographer to avoid any interference and/or distraction.
