There are a number of important steps which need to be taken before taking your marraige vows.
You will need to make an appointment with me to discuss your plans for the day and most importantly, complete the necessary legal forms. To complete these forms you will need to bring with you:

Legal Requirements

Your original birth certificate or certified extract if you were born in Australia.
n
If you were born in another country your overseas passport is sufficient or your birth certificate
n
If you've been previously married, your divorce papers, or
n
If your partner has passed away, the death certificate.
The Process
Following our first meeting you will need to pay a $150 booking fee to secure your date. Please note this fee is not refundable but is deducted from my overall fee, leaving a balance of $350.
This covers, assisting you to plan and write your ceremony, lodging all necessary legal forms, performing your Marriage and providing a professionally printed Certificate of Marriage.
After sighting the required legal documents, I will then complete the Notice of Intended Marriage Form which you both need to sign. By law, I must have the completed form in my possession at least 1 month and 1 day before the date of your wedding.
Following your first appointment and using a basic format you'll decide on how you want your marriage ceremony to unfold. You and your fiance can even write your own vows, select readings and if you wish include a symbolic ritual.
My fee also covers my attendance for 1 hour on the day of your wedding which includes arriving half an hour before the agreed start of the ceremony to set up and half an hour to conduct the ceremony. Additional rehearsals and travel distance over 1 hour may attract an additional cost.
This day is yours to plan, enjoy and remember and I'm happy to assist you in every way possible ... all you need to do is ask.
